The authors have studied (XStA, Syntex P1 autodiffractometer, 2θ:θ method, 1027 reflections, R_final = 0.035) the structure of the new Sr, Ba, Mn silicate taikanite Sr₂BaMn₂[Si₄O₁₂]O₂ (a = 14.59(1), b = 7.769(9), c = 5.141(3) Å, β = 93.28(6)°, space group C2, Z = 1), found in the Ir-Nimi (Far East) Mn deposit. The basis of the structure is a mixed framework formed by columns of Mn-octahedra and Si-O chains, in the cavities of which there are the large cations of Ba and Sr
