Résumé / Abstract
In Phomopsis leptostromiformis two varieties, leptostromiformis and occidentlis have been known. The present investigation confirmed that only P. l. var. occidentalis produced its telemorph in vitro. For this fungus, isolated in Western Australia, the name Diaporthe woodii is recognized. Obervations of the fungal development on infected lupin stubble in the field resulted in the discovery of the telemorph of the Phomopsis state earlier recognized as var. leptostromiformis, which causes the lupinoses problem in grazing animals
