Résumé / Abstract

Physical urticarias account for 10% to 20% of all chronic urticarial reactions. Symptoms develop from physical environmental changes that appear to affect the mast cell. Mechanical sources produce dermatographism, delayed pressure urticaria, and vibratory angioedema. Thermal changes are responsible for cholinergic and cold urticaria. Exposure to light, water, and exercise are the triggers for solar urticaria, aquagenic urticaria, and exercise-induced anaphylaxis, respectively.
