Résumé / Abstract
The thermoroentgenography method was used to study, within interval +20―700 °C in air, the thermal behavior of two newly discovered exhalation copper-bearing minerals ― bradachekite and urusovite ― from the Great Tolbachik Eruption (1975―1976, Kamchatka Peninsula, Russia). The main values of the thermal expansion tensor have been calculated as following: urusovite ― α
11 = 10, α
22 = α
b = 7, α
33 = 4, α
V = 21 × 10
―6 °C
―1, μ = c^α
33 = 49°; bradachekite ― α
11aver. = 23, α
22 = 8, α
33aver. = 6 × 10
―6 °C
―1, μ(c^α
33) = 73°. The study has revealed the sharp anisotropy of thermal deformations of these minerals, absences of the phase transitions and stability of the minerals in the chosen interval of temperatures, corresponding to conditions of their forming and alteration during the post-eruption period of the volcano activities.
