Résumé / Abstract

The application of flow reactors as a solution to the current drug discovery compound synthesis bottleneck is explored. Processes including the catalyst screening of 3-chloro-7-nitroindole, the automated debenzylation of 2 compound libraries and a one-step Pd catalysed aminocarbonylation are all used to highlight the advantages of performing chemistry using flow. The examples and results will emphasize the importance of flow reactors and the potential applicability of continuous processes in the pharmaceutical and chemical industry.
