Résumé / Abstract
Yushkinite has been found in the quartz-calcite hydrothermal veins in the Pai-Hoi anticlinorium the Sylova-Yaha river) in association with fluorite, sphalerite and sulvanite. It occurs as fine-lamellar aggregates. The mineral is rose-violet. with perfeel cleavage by (0001). Hardness is very low lower than 1. In reflected light the mineral is anisotropic, with strong bircflectance; uniaxial, optically negative. As the new mineral, yushkinite was examined and approved by the Commission on New Minerals and Mineral Names (CNMMN) of the International Mineralogical Association in 1983. 20 years later the investigation of yushkinite and its parasteresis were continued. In resulting, there were discovered (he new carbonate mineral phase, and specified physical properties and the composition of yushkinite.
