Résumé / Abstract
Land-use planning is now seen as a major tool for managing transport demand. This paper reports findings from a recent survey which highlights the attitudes held by Scottish planning professionals to managing transport demand through land-use planning. The paper outlines the trade-offs encourntered in practice between competing policy objectives. In Scotland there is only draft planning guidance equivalent to Planning Policy Guidance Note 13, which applies to England and Wales.
