Résumé / Abstract

Intensified therapies - CSII and ICT will remain the solid basis for the vast majority of insulin dependent patients for many years. Therapy of type I diabetes is difficult and requires a high degree of motivation and engagement from both, doctor and patient. The expert must be familiar with the numerous factors, that influence glucose regulation, their interactions and their impact on quality management. The patient's cooperation is indispensable for long-term therapeutic success. Motivation is best guaranteed and maintained by self-realized benefits. Independence and safe handling of insulin is the most important aim in patient education.
