Résumé / Abstract

The aim of this paper is to analyse the translation of titles of the Spanish version of Le Monde diplomatique, and more specifically the strategies and processes used by the translator. We will begin by making a distinction between strategies and processes of translation; we will then present the specificities of the translation of newspaper titles; finally, through examples of titles from the above mentioned newspaper, we will analyse the solutions chosen by the translator, thus trying to draw some general conclusions concerning translation into Spanish of titles from press in French.
