Résumé / Abstract

Water conditioning has always been very important to the manufacture of a satisfactory product. It can also help to maintain the condition of the plant. Due to the demands of the water economy regulations and the circulatory system for cooling water associated with these, hygienic aspects and also the use of suitable microbicides are becoming more and more important. Because of the greater contamination of the circulating water, determined by concentration, water now also has to be filtered. Attention should be paid not only to water conditioning during sterilisation and cooling but also to the steam produced if damage to products, such as discoloration or rusty cans, is to be avoided.
