Résumé / Abstract

The influence of different amounts of biological waste compost from Urban Stands on agriculturally used soils was examined. Fifty t/ha of biological waste compost induced no significant increase of the total content of heavy metals in soil and plants. It was shown that there was no negative effect on investigated vegetables and the groundwater after application of biological waste compost from Urban Stands. The increase of organic matter caused lower contents of available nutrients and heavy metals. The resulting balance study is the basis for recommendations regarding the use of biological waste compost including prevention of detrimental effects on plants, soil and groundwater.
