Résumé / Abstract

One new triterpenoid saponin (gomphrenoside, 1) and one new hopane derivative (hopan-7β-ol, 2) along with known compounds, β-sitosterol-β-D-glucoside and 1-triacontanol have been isolated from the aerial parts of Gomphrena globosa. On the basis of chemical and spectroscopic(including 2D NMR) methods, the structure of 1 has been elucidated as 3β-O-α-L-arabinopyranosyl-6β-hydroxyolean-12-ene-23,29-dioic acid-29-O-β-D-glucopyranoside and structure of 2 is determined.
