Résumé / Abstract
The main purpose of this work was the study of several methods of synthesis and processing of some nanometric oxides used as precursors for non-oxide powders preparation intended to obtain either dense finite bodies, withcontrolled microstructure, or catalysts. WO
3 nanometric monocomponent powders were obtained from alkoxide precursors, tungsten acid and ammonium tungstenate. Complex characterization of oxide powders, made by specific methods (X-ray diffraction, differential thermal analysis and thermogravimetric analysis, IR spectrometry and BET specific surface area) has shown that the powders obtained are amorphous or nanocrystalline and present a high tendency of crystallization with thermal treatment. The reduction process of the obtained oxide powders, in order to obtain the corresponding carbides, was also studied using as reduction agent colloidal carbon introduced in the reaction mixture during the sol-gel process. Preliminary studies of the reduction of the powders were realized in an argon atmosphere with 7% H
2 at 800°C and 1000°C.
