Résumé / Abstract

The new functional neuroimaging techniques have succeeded in obtaining images of the brain when performing mental tasks. The images thus obtained, considered images of the mind, have reinforced the belief that we will soon be able to infer the content of our mental states starting from the neurophysiological knowledge of the brain areas involved. This paper attempts to tackle this matter and contributes to clarify, from the epistemological field, some of the inferences attained by neuroscientists.
