Résumé / Abstract

Meadows of Posidonia oceanica (L.) Delile (Phanerogamae: Potamogetonaceae) from different Northern Sardinian coastal sites were sampled and compared for DNA polimorphism. The RAPD (Random Amplified Polimorphic DNA) technique was utilized in order to identify the presence of genetic variability. Among the examined populations we found DNA polymorphisms that could be useful for selecting plant materials for local meadows recolonization projects, the technique can infact be an useful tool in setting up strategies for the safeguard of the species in areas where populations of Posidonia are subject to regression.
