Résumé / Abstract

Acacia farnesiana is used in the traditional systems of medicine for treating inflammations. In the present study the ethanolic extract of leaves of Acacia famesiana was tested for the anti-inflammatory activity by carrageenan induced paw oedema for acute inflammation and cotton pellet induced granulation for chronic inflammatory model. The ethanolic extract showed significant anti-inflammatory activity in both the models studied.
